Pet Cremation
One of the most tragic events that could ever happen in pet lover's life is the loss if his or her animal friend. More often than not, they feel so unprepared in facing this kind of situation especially if their pet is always known for being in good shape, healthy, and very active. But even so, eventually, you still have to think about the way on how you could give your pet a proper memorial. Some opt to have their pets buried on special cemeteries while others simply want to have their deceased pets cremated.
Burying your pet at cemeteries can be quite expensive. On the other hand, burying your deceased pet at the backyard can be a great risk for you and your family's health. That is why cremation is a great option if you want to still feel close to the pet that you loved the most.
A great advantage of pet cremation is that you have a wide array of options to choose from after the process. The ashes of your pet can be scattered anywhere including parks, beaches, or simply in place where your pet usually enjoys when it was still alive. Other than that, you can also put the ashes of your pet in an urn or even in a special locket. In this way, you don't have to worry if you can take the remains of your pet with you by the time you would move to another location. But there are also some owners who feel that they no longer want to ashes of the cremated pet. If you are like them, you can simply tell the person in charge that you no longer want the ashes returned to you.

If your pet has a veterinarian, you can always ask them about cremation and they would give the contact details of the crematorium they know. More often than not, a well established crematorium has a cremation chamber that is only meant for animals. The body of your pet will be burned under the extreme heat of 1600 degrees Fahrenheit so that it would become ashes or what they also call as the cremains.
There are actually different types of pet cremation to choose from. See to it that you talk to the person in charge of the crematory. First on the list is a private cremation. In here, your pet will be cremated and nobody, even you, will get to watch. On the other hand, if you want to be in a viewing room along with the rest of the family, you may opt for a viewing cremation. The third type is the individual cremation where your pet will be cremated with another pet. But each animal will be placed in different chamber so you could still get the cremains or the ashes of your beloved pet.
Afterwards, you will be given a sealed plastic bag that has the ashes of your pet. You may opt to transfer everything (including the bag) in the pet urn so you could protect it against moisture.
